Photography is an art form that allows us to freeze moments in time, preserving memories and emotions. However, capturing a good photograph requires more than just pointing a camera and clicking a button. It involves a thoughtful approach that combines technical skills, artistic vision, and a creative mind. In this essay, we will explore various ways to capture a good photograph, focusing on composition, lighting, creativity, and storytelling from a 21 years old professional photographer Mr. Lee.
Mr. Lee is a professional photographer that has more than 10 experience in taking pictures where he bought his first digital camera when he was in primary school. The first photograph theme that he has taken was a sport's day that was held in his primary school. Then, he started to fall in love with photography and continue his photographer journey.

Figure 1.1 is a most recent photo that Mr. Lee used to win a photography contest in figure that was held in Han Chiang University College of Communication which is known as " Yi Ji Hui You ". Mr . Lee mentioned that a picture is a story books and how dept of the story will depends on how many detail does the photo carries.
One of the fundamental aspects of photography is composition. It involves arranging the elements within the frame to create a visually appealing and balanced image. Applying the rule of thirds, placing the main subject off-center, or using leading lines can draw the viewer's attention and add depth to the photograph. Experimenting with different angles and perspectives can also yield unique and captivating compositions. Mr.Lee stated an example of a weird composition is having photos that only sees a head on one conor will make the composition feel weird while when the subject that follows the leading line will be like figure 1.2.
In addition, lighting plays a crucial role in photography, as it can dramatically affect the mood, atmosphere, and overall impact of an image. Understanding the quality, direction, and intensity of light is essential. The golden hour, the period shortly after sunrise or before sunset, offers soft, warm light that enhances the photograph. Utilizing natural light creatively or experimenting with artificial lighting techniques can help create the desired effect and emphasize the subject.
Photographs have the power to tell stories, evoke emotions, and convey a message. A good photograph goes beyond aesthetics; it captures the essence of a moment, evoking a sense of wonder, joy, sadness, or any other emotion. To create impactful images, consider the narrative or message you want to convey. Pay attention to details, expressions, and the relationship between elements in the frame. By focusing on the story behind the photograph, you can create images that resonate with the viewer on a deeper level.
Moreover, the creativity aspect of capturing a good photograph is what sets it apart from a simple snapshot. It involves using your imagination, artistic vision, and unique perspective to create images that stand out and evoke emotions in the viewer.Instead of capturing a scene from an expected angle, try experimenting with different viewpoints and angles. Get down low, climb up high, or find unusual vantage points to capture your subject from a fresh and intriguing perspective. Mr.Lee also shows figure 1.1 where he has capture a photo on a school theme, he said that the picture is not only presenting a sense of visual beauty, it has a deeper meaning. The figure 1.1 presented every growing process in every person's school life which is watching the most beautiful person in school but do not dare to get near or a relationship that happens in school life. It may be more than a photo but a process of growth from a boy to adult.
Other than that, colors and textures can evoke strong emotions and add visual interest to your photographs. Pay attention to the color palette within your frame and consider how different colors interact with each other. Experiment with contrasting or complementary colors to create a vibrant or harmonious composition. Additionally, capturing textures, such as the roughness of a weathered surface or the softness of a petal, can add a tactile element to your images.Every ruler has its limits, when the color saturation has cross the line, the photo will be oversaturated which means that the color has become more than a natural object. Mr.Lee stated that he felt dizzy when he saw these types of photos and it will be counted as a failed phot.
In the nutshell, Capturing a good photograph is an art that requires a combination of technical skills, creativity, and a keen eye for detail. Through thoughtful composition, understanding and manipulating light, capturing the perfect timing, and weaving a compelling narrative, photographers can create images that transcend the ordinary. Remember to experiment, practice, and develop your unique style, for it is in the pursuit of mastering these techniques that you will uncover your true artistic potential. Mr.Lee advised all newbie photographers to find out their own style on photography and became an icon of their own.Learn from others experience while not copying others work.
